Like the title says: When do you think 100 TB hdd will be available on the market for personal use? 100TB now is available for server usage but I guess it's not advisable for personal usage. Moreover, 100TB HDD is very costly. So, when we can expect to buy 100TB HDD with say just for $100?

In my opinion 100 Terabytes will become mainstream in around 7 years (but I think they will first become available in around 5 years). This is because storage capacity is roughly doubling every year ...
